Latrobe City is the regional city of Gippsland, located less than 2 hours’ drive from Melbourne, and is at the heart of the only Economic Growth Zone in Victoria - the Latrobe Valley. We have an opportunity for two individuals to join our dynamic team as Deputy Municipal Building Surveyor and Building Surveyor Intern to assist with the delivery of statutory services across the municipality.
Deputy Municipal Building Surveyor
A registered Building Surveyor, you will assist the Municipal Building Surveyor in conducting building audits, inspections and investigations as well as processing applications for building approvals, preparing reports, responding to queries and resolving disputes. You will also deputise for the Municipal Building Surveyor when required.
To be successful in this role you will possess excellent investigatory and communication skills, a commitment to providing excellent customer service and be registered as a Building Surveyor - unlimited with the VBA.
Building Surveyor Intern
You may be already studying a degree in building surveying, or a graduate engineer wanting to move into the field of building surveying.
You will assist the Municipal Building Surveyor with the delivery of statutory services across the municipality, providing a professional and customer-focussed advisory service.
