An expert Development Management group, with a 25 year record in land subdivisions and master planned deliveries, seeks a Development Manager – Land for medium to large scale community and development programmes across Greater Sydney and NSW.
You'll work closely with the Director but moreso with the clients you’ll be responsible for. Your emphasis will be on planning and securing approvals for staged subdivisions and on managing projects through to registration as well as on helping secure the next generation of developments. The Group has state of the art capability and projects range in value from $10M to $500M, including smaller infill subdivisions but also high profile developments and large master planned communities.
Career prospects are excellent and the opportunity will appeal strongly to the project or development manager who is able to carry complete projects through but also to take an increasing role in client management in a growing practice which adapts its service to the need and typically undertakes:
- Site analysis and concept/market planning.
- Approval management from rezoning to Development Applications through to construction and project completion
- Financial feasibility modelling & budgetary management
- Sales and marketing strategy
- Project team engagement and contract packaging/co-ordination.
- Project Delivery and Construction Management in quality cost and timetable
The culture is disciplined and enabling and the successful candidate will be hands on in approach but commercially minded, probably tertiary qualified, and well aware of development practicality. He or she may already be with a project management/surveying practice, or perhaps with a land development group but will be fully capable of handling his or her own projects and seeking a fast work pace with a CBD quality workload and business ethic in a non-CBD location.
