Building Work Supervisor - Residential

This is a great opportunity to join a small bespoke Building Company, who prides itself on providing highly personal service and exceptional quality and workmanship.

We specialise in the construction of custom built new homes, additions and renovations and are seeking a person with relevant experience and the following attributes;

• Supervision experience, with a thorough knowledge of construction methods used in architecturally designed new homes, additions, renovations and smaller commercial projects
• Extensive knowledge of the NCC (National Construction Code, previously BCA) and other relevant legislation relating to the construction industry. Particularly the residential sector.
• Extensive knowledge of current OHS legislation
• Tertiary qualification in Construction Management -or- qualification in a recognized building trade with Supervisors Registration for General Building Work.
• Positive and enthusiastic, with a wiliness to improve those around them
• A high degree of pride in the quality of their work. A “do it once, do it right” attitude
• Outstanding interpersonal skills – the ability to communicate well with Client’s, trade contractors, suppliers, and the project team
• Computer skills – use of MS Office Suite, and navigation of digital building documentation (e.g. .pdf files)
• South Australian driver’s license and supply of suitable vehicle – Car allowance will be included within your remuneration package.

You will be responsible for;

• Full project supervision from commencement through to completion
• Communication with Project Manager and project team
• Scheduling of work. Including monitoring and recording of daily activity to ensure works are progressing as scheduled. Providing status updates to Project Manager on a weekly basis
• Ordering of materials, including basic material take-offs/estimates
• Implementing a safe on-site culture, including checking off and compliance with SWMS’s

Immediate start. We have several architectural projects currently in construction or nearing commencement.

Remuneration will be based on level of experience and ability - phone and car allowances will be included within your remuneration package.
