Looking for a HC Driver / Grader Operator for road maintenance works in remote areas, primarily operating an M series Grader to grade unsealed roads.

About the job
Randstad are seeking a Grader Operator to work within the Rural & Remote Patrol team of two.
You are responsible for providing quality road maintenance works in remote areas.
Primarily your role will be operating an M series Grader to grade unsealed roads and strive to meet production targets. Work includes maintenance on sealed and unsealed pavement, roadside environment, drainage and other miscellaneous tasks.
Patrols cover a significant area and move camp every two to three days during the 18 day rotation. You would work a continual roster of 9.5 hours per day from 7am to 5pm.
Camp Accommodation with sleeping, cooking, laundry and bathroom facilities provided, you would be required to take your own personal items and food (you cook for yourself).
You deploy from Port Augusta depot on the day prior to start of 18 day rotation.
About you
You will be passionate and hardworking with the ability to listen to your offsider and leaders.
The successful applicant would hold;
- HC or MC truck licence
- OHS Whitecard
- Workzone traffic management ticket
- First Aid
- Grader experience essential (M series experience preferred and ticket or VOC highly regarded)
As part of Randstad’s requirements you would need to complete a thorough functional assessment and be capable of lifting 25kg.
Salary range & benefits
We offer an attractive hourly rate starting at $31.34 per hour plus overtime after 7.6 hours Monday to Friday with penalties paid for weekend and public holiday shifts.
In addition daily allowances are paid in line with the relevant award.
Approximately $418 per day worked before tax.
This role is classed as a casual position working through Randstad.
