The Company
 
My client are a well-established project home builder who currently deliver 350 homes per year. With great systems already in operation, they are looking to appoint a Production Estimator.
 
The Role

Working as part of a close knit team alongside a Sales Estimator, you will have the sole responsibility of managing the Production Estimates. The company dictate the type of variations a customer can choose from meaning that variations are kept to a minimal level allowing you to manage work flow more effectively. The key duties of the role will include but not limited to:

• Daily use of Timberline software
• Complete production estimating from tender documents and variations
• Ensure correct quantities are in BOQ's and complete on-site measures and take offs when required
• Liaising with staff, suppliers and subcontractors to ensure a cohesive approach to the construction process
• Checking contract plans for accuracy prior to release for construction
• Liaising with Construction Supervisors and Managers
• Preparing and issuing purchase orders
• Prepare inventory items and assemblies in estimating package for common items
• Maintaining all queries with estimated jobs and amending orders where required

Essential Skills & Experience

• Good understanding of Timberline
• Minimum 3 years of Production Estimating within Project Homes/Custom Homes or Residential Construction
• Diploma in Building and Construction or trade background in carpentry and joinery would be an advantage
• Understanding of the workflow process
• Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time
• Be highly organised, efficient and have the ability to meet deadlines
• Have strong communication skills
