ABOUT THE BUSINESS
Our client is a family owned and run Tier 2 Civil Contractor based out of western Sydney. The business has a fantastic household reputation within the civil construction industry and is responsible for delivering leading civil projects through the entire Sydney Metropolitan region as well as having interstate offices and projects.  Due to expansive growth within the business, they’re looking to recruit an Estimator to help the team build their business toward future success and aid the estimating and team and estimating manager toward successful business development.

ABOUT THE ROLE
The successful candidate will be responsible for Estimating potential contracts as well as business development, networking and building new contacts within the industry this may include clients, suppliers and sub-contractors. The ideal candidate will have a background working for a reputable civil infrastructure contractor In Sydney for the past 4 years in an estimating or project management role.

REQUIREMENTS 

• The ability to estimate from the first principles
• Degree or Tafe qualification within civil construction or quantity surveying
• Experience within a similar role estimating for Projects such as RMS spec and bulk earthworks & remediation etc.
• Experience with estimating software or Excel and AutoCad
• An ability to work autonomously and also work in a team when required
• A sound understanding of costs relating to civil infrastructure projects
• Estimating for projects valued 500K to $30M
• A positive attitude that promotes success
• Drivers Licence
