- 4 day week- based in Penrith with regular travel to Silverwater depot.

Our Client are a small Family Friendly company (About 10 people in total) who supply special purpose lightweight steel / metal components into major engineering / construction projects such as the West Connex / North West Rail Link etc.
Due to Increase workload we are now looking for an experienced Purchasing officer /Project Coordinator to support existing Project Managers in the coordination and delivery of goods and services used on construction sites.
Essentially we are looking for:
- Someone who can manager relationship and coordinate between client and steel fabricator ensuring shop drawings etc. are in line with contract agreement.
- A background in Steel fabrication.
- An Outstanding communicator , both oral and written, who has around three years plus experience in the coordination/Procurement / execution /delivery or Labour /Plant/Materials etc. used in a typical day to day of a Construction /Building Contractor.
- An individual, whothrives on the challengesof the day to day demands that only an Engineering /Construction company canprovide – a GSOH + Positive attitude are essential.
- A person who has ability to raise purchase orders, liase with vendors, freight forwarders and warehouse staff.
- A confident individual who can successfully liase and manage the demands of engineers/ project managers/ site staff and external stakeholders, across Australia.
- An Individual who can identify issues and provide better solutions to the total supply chain/ purchasing / procurement experience.
- Strong computer skills in MS Office and Workbench or other computerised purchasing/inventory systems
- Unrestricted work rights in Australia.
- Own reliable transport essential as you will be travelling between Penrith Head Office and Yard/Depot based in Silverwater area.
- Checkable references.
This is a Four day week role. Rates etc. will be negotiated with successful applicant.
