The Position

Our Client is a leading civil construction company that specialises in utility construction and maintenance, particularly in water and sewerage infrastructure. They are currently undergoing a period of growth and expansion and require an experienced pipe layer/crew leader for an ongoing position based on the North-side of Brisbane. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a well-established civil construction company that has been involved in some of South-East Queensland's major construction projects. They have gained a reputation within the civil construction industry for high quality work, with a strong emphasis on the importance of safety.

The successful candidate will require 5 years minimum of pipe laying experience particularly with water mains and sewer mains. They must also be capable of directing/instructing crews to complete daily tasks and must be able to comprehend construction drawings and SEQ Code. Candidates must also have Poly Welding (Butt) and Poly Welding (electrofusion) tickets and have relevant experience, as well as a minimum cert 4 in Civil Construction.

Position Requirements

• Available for an immediate start
• Extensive experience in pipe laying (5 years +)
• Leading hand/crew leading experience
• Poly welding (butt) and Poly welding (electrofusion) tickets
• Cert 4 in Civil Construction
• Must be able to comprehend construction drawings/SEQ Code
• Contactable and current references
• Own car and licence
• Full PPE
• The desire for a long-term position
• Confined space ticket and MR licence are highly regarded
