PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Develops, implements and evaluates risk management and OH&S policies and programs. Ensure that OHS procedures are managed effectively, well communicated, understood and actioned.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

1. Ensure a healthy and safe working environment
2. Communicates as required accurate information in regards to OH&S matters
3. Identify hazards, and assess and control risks in the workplace to include work sites 
4. Co-ordinations of site meetings to include induction and training, risk assessments & safety audits
5. Provide and maintain appropriate levels of OH&S support to management, employees and contractors
6. Ensure continued compliance with workplace regulations and industry safety standards
7. Actively identify and develop continual improvement opportunities, including monitoring any changes in standards, best practice or legislation
8. Monitor, record & report on safety performance, investigate injuries and equipment damage incidents
9. Accident investigation and reporting

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Degree level Qualification and work experience essential
• An ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
• Proven ability to achieve reporting requirements in a timely manner
• Possess excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels
• Good Analytical and numerical skills
• Computer experience essential including knowledge of Excel, Word and Outlook
• Must be highly motivated and require minimum supervision
