We are currently looking for a HSE Field Support Officer to join our team. Now is an exciting time to join Tandem!
  
Position Summary:

The HSE Field Support Officer is primarily a field based role.  The core objective of this position is to responsible for induction and monitoring compliance to Tandem HSE management systems in all aspects of workplace health, safety and environment, for employees of Tandem, and the Tandem subcontractor workforce.
This role is also responsible for ensuring that Tandem and client HSE policies and procedures are adhered to and changes in the client HSE practices and policies are implemented across the Tandem staff and subcontractor workforce.
  
Key Responsibilities:

• Work across the region to ensure all HSE processes, systems and practices are implemented and managed appropriately across the region.
• Manage audit performance and scheduling in line with Tandem business objectives and targets in a way that delivers improvements in HSE across the business.
• Ensure communication with the Regional Contract Managers and Team Managers is consistent, clear and informative.
• Ensure strong HSE communication processes are in place with the client at regional level so that changes in HSE policies and procedures are identified and implemented in the Tandem subcontractor workforce.
• Ensure systems and processes are in place to deliver agreed client HSE scorecard/KPI targets on a daily / weekly / monthly basis as required.
• Coordinate and conduct site inspections/audits to agree standards and protocols. Follow up issues and non-conformances through to resolution, escalate where resolution cannot be achieved at a regional level
• Ensure site safety management procedures are in place and adhered to.
• Ensure audit resolution procedures are occurring which prevent non-complaint process from occurring
• Support development of and apply continuous HSE process improvements which deliver greater levels of process application.

What we're looking for:

• Diploma, Graduate and/or post graduate qualifications in HSE/OHS
• Relevant technical knowledge/certification as required by client or legislation.
• Strong Construction and Telecommunication experience is an advantage.
• Extensive experience working in contract environment in similar roles.
• Detailed understanding of organisational compliance responsibilities.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively deliver projects.
• High-level written, verbal communication skills and demonstrated ability to manage and influence internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Demonstrated understanding, commitment, responsiveness and compliance to corporate policies for Occupational Health & Safety, Protection of the Environment, Quality System, Equal Employment Opportunities and other People policies.
• Strong influencing and relationship management skills, resilience and optimism.
