The opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Branch Manager to join our Mudgee branch. The Branch Manager will work closely with the Regional Service team and Regional Parts team to develop improved business processes, manage existing and develop new revenue business, whilst promoting a safe working environment and policy compliance minimising risks. The efficient organisation and management of the service team ensuring maximum utilisation through planning labour requirements, workshop space, leave entitlements and thorough analysis of the service KPI's will yield success.
 
The person we're looking for
A talented individual looking to make this position their own, you will be a strategic thinker; a solution orientated salesperson with excellent people and problem-solving skills. You will thrive on the challenge of increasing sales and be a true hunter & gatherer of opportunities. You will seek to understand your customer's needs. A key component of this role is providing strong leadership, guidance and coaching, and ensuring all duties are conducted in terms of the core values of Komatsu.
 
The knowledge, skills and abilities we're looking for
  • Significant relevant experience leading a team within a related industry (mining and construction ideal)
  • Strong problem-solving aptitude with the ability to demonstrate this from actual experiences
  • A motivational, customer focussed individual, with earth moving or similar industry experience
  • Dynamic strategic selling skills - strong knowledge and experience in identifying sales opportunities by listening to the voice of the customer and linking the available product offerings to match the customer's needs
  • The ability to analyse work place risk and implement the necessary changes promptly
  • Require a sound understanding & presentation of financial reports & management of key areas such as gross & net profit optimisation
    Be able to communicate both orally and written formats in a professional manner
  • Be computer savvy and be competent in basic windows suite programs. Prior use of SAP or Microsoft Dynamics will be highly regarded.
  • Understand how to effectively create succession plans and develop and mentor select staff with your skills.
  • Carry out analysis on operation, provide constructive ideas and opinions to obstacles
  • Build a strong team orientated environment within the division and work collaboratively with other departments
  • Have the ability to clearly communicate & present the regional strategy to employees, ensuring clear instructions and directions
  • Be open to employee suggestions and willing to take action where appropriate
  • Ability to demonstrate parts and mechanical knowledge - trade qualification is not essential, but advantageous
  • A commitment to HSE by demonstrating safe behaviour at all times
  • Compliance with Komatsu HSE Policy, Standards and initiatives including Feel Safety and our Golden Rules
