PROJECT MANAGER COMMERCIAL DOORS & WINDOWS

Window Design Solutions is a leading Australian owned Commercial Windows and Doors fabricator with 4 Branches servicing Queensland and Northern NSW. We are looking to employ an experienced Project Manager to supervise all aspects of the supply, installation and glazing of our contracts across apartments, schools, commercial, industrial and Government projects.

The successful applicant must have;

• Direct experience in Project Managing commercial glazing contracts
• Exceptional communication and comprehension skills both written and verbal
• Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to read and understand construction drawings and technical manuals
• Strong knowledge of current building practices, NCC/BCA and Australian Standards requirements
• Be competent and reliable and able to accurately site measure and manage site installation crews.
• A good knowledge of V6 software to produce cutting lists for production in a timely manner.
• AWS experience an advantage. 
• Basic computer skills using MS Office
• Current Driver License and General Construction Induction (White or Blue Card)
• A good knowledge of OH&S requirements and managing on site safe work practices
• The ability to think logically and produce results under time pressures
• The ability to travel within Queensland and NSW and be away for short periods.
• Must be an Australian Citizen or permanent resident with the right to work full time in Australia
• Experience running projects remotely would be an advantage
• Drafting experience is beneficial but not essential

Duties Include;

• Liaising with clients and attending site meetings
• Supervise the Shop Drawing process
• Determining window sizes either by site measure or predetermined sizes
• Producing cutting/production sheets, organising deliveries and installation
• Submitting monthly progress claims and contract management through to final claim
• Meet all safety obligations
• Understand and manage contractual obligations from start to finish.

It is envisaged the successful applicant will be based at our Brisbane Branch conveniently situated between Brisbane and the Gold Coast however applicants for a Townsville base may also be considered.

On offer to the right applicant is full time employment Monday to Friday on a generous salary package plus entitlements and career progression. Immediate start is available.
