This is a highly rewarding and challenging role located in Baulkham Hills within the busy Dual Occupancy team. Be part of a thriving and emerging department which will utilise your skills and Estimating expertise.

Reporting to the Workflow Manager, your responsibilities will include:

• Completing all estimating requirements and documentation within budgeted timelines;
• Preparing and documenting specific estimates in accordance with the Metricon design and construction details;
• Calculating quantities and maintaining inventories for standard options to complement our product range, using Metricon’s Estimating Systems software;
• Setting prices based on supplier rates and margin schedules;
• Lead role with post tender meetings and negotiations with developers;
• Lead role with relation to all tender, variation and pricing enquiries;
• Liaising with a number of internal stakeholders including Sales, Designers and Purchasing teams; and
• Liaising with a number of external stakeholders including engineers, town planners and contractors.

The successful candidate will have:

• An Associate Diploma in Building Construction (or equivalent) and/or a trade qualification;
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in Sales Estimating for either a high volume or high end residential building company;
• A solid understanding of the building process and the Building Code of Australia;
• Working knowledge of an estimating system (e.g. BusinessCraft, Timberline, HMS, WMS or Databuild);
• An interest in continuous improvement and a willingness to provide feedback to management; and
• The ability to thrive in a goal driven, dedicated team environment.
