John Holland, with joint venture partners CPB Contractors and Ghella (JHCPBG JV), have been awarded the contract to deliver the $2.81 billion second stage of Sydney Metro, City and Southwest, Australia’s largest public transport project.

With a new crossing under Sydney Harbour, the 15.5 km TBM tunnels will run from Chatswood, through the CBD and then to Marrickville. The project includes building complex underground structures for six new stations in Crows Nest, North Sydney, Barangaroo, Martin Place, Pitt St and Waterloo.

We are looking for ‘high performing’ people to join us to deliver this iconic project and leave an amazing legacy for the people of Sydney. We currently have an Interface Coordinator role available to join our team based in our Project Head Office in the CBD.  

 

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Provide Interface advice to the Design and Constructions teams to assist in the delivery of work that meets the project needs.
  • Coordinate interface activities with internal and external stakeholders and assist to provide interface solutions to ensure there is no delay to construction and project program.
  • Work with the wider project team to assist in ensuring all the obligations in external stakeholder interface agreements are understood and fulfilled; and incorporated into all planning and programming activities.
  • Ensure that design packages are taken through an appropriate external stakeholder review process.
  • Coordinate the resolution of design comments received from the external stakeholders.
  • Provide advice to site personnel and relevant stakeholders in resolving interface issues at site level.
  • Ensure consistency across the various project sites in respect to process, approach, technical standards and systems, as this relates to interfaces with external stakeholders.
  • Assist in the coordination of obligations arising from adjoining owner agreements.
  • Coordinate specific asset condition surveys, inspections and reports with subcontractors, external stakeholders and internal teams.
  • Prepare reports and summaries related to interface coordination, including tracking of compliance.

 

To be considered for the role, it is essential that you demonstrate the following:

  • Construction background (preferable)
  • Proven history in dealing with external stakeholders
  • Ability to engage with engineers and management to deliver outcomes.
  • High levels of integrity, confidentiality and professionalism.
