We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Controls Engineer to join our multidisciplinary team on a full-time basis at the Condell Park offices.
THE ROLE
This role is responsible for planning and controlling costs and scheduling on company projects. You will develop and implement the project control tools to facilitate the analysis, evaluation and forecasting of the current project status against a comprehensive project plan.
Your responsibilities include:
- Develop and maintain the overall Level 1 schedule for the business including projects, engineering and drafting and fabrication workshop.
- Develop and maintain resource forecasts.
- Identify and communicate potential risks to on-time completion.
- Prepare weekly and monthly reporting including cost and schedule s-curves.
- Control project budgets in conjunction with project managers.
- Monitor project budgets to control and track cost commitments.
- Employ earned value techniques in forecasting.
- Track and detail project delays.
- Evaluate cost and schedule impacts of project changes.
- Travel to site for schedule updates, approximately monthly.
- Travel interstate, approximately monthly.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
To be successful in the role you will have:
- 7 - 10+ years post graduate experience in a similar field;
- Bachelor of Business, Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent;
- MS Excel – expert
- MS Project – expert
- Oracle Primavera P6 - expert
- Strong commitment to safety, customer satisfaction and quality;
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to meet targets under pressure;
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
