The Paz Group is Australia's largest and only truly national stone and glass fabricating business.  We have offices all over Australia and currently service all market segments including commercial, civil, trade and retail. 

The Victorian branch is currently going through a phase of growth and as such we are seeking the services of highly professional RTW Administrator /  OHS to manage the day to day needs of our manufacturing plant and construction sites.

Reporting to the HSEQ Manager you will be responsible for:

• Driving a safety focused improvement culture
• Assist with safety system improvements and implementing new OH&S plans, and initiatives
• Administer site safety walks, collate results and prescribe actions and follow up closure
• Maintain and apply up-to-date knowledge of legislation relating to OH&S
• Induction of new employees and staff training in Safe Work Procedures
• Work on early intervention strategies and initiatives to reduce lost time
• Obtain up to date medical advice to manage claims
• Guide injured workers through the Workers' Compensation and Rehabilitation process
• Compiling weekly, monthly and ad hoc reports and KPI's

Key Performance Indicators:

• Extensive experience as an OH&S /RTW Administrator
• Strong ability to understand and interpret policies
• Proven ability to effectively build rapport with workers and implement OHS&S policies

• Communication at multiple levels
• Decision making and problem solving abilities
• Work to meet system improvement targets
• Incident investigation and closure of issues with objective evidence

Key Selection Criteria:

Mandatory

• Previous experience in claim management within a construction / manufacturing environment and a sound knowledge of the work cover system and rehabilitation processes
• Genuine care for the health and wellbeing of employees
• Team player, able to interact with all levels of the business
• Ability to learn and apply National standards and regulations
• Can-do attitude
