The opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for 2 Team Leaders Civil to be a part of our Major Works team within Sydney Trains. This position plays a key role in managing the work allocation of a team to support the Team Manager Civil in ensuring quality of infrastructure to agreed standards.
As the Team Leader Civil you will ensure civil construction teams and contractors carry out the scope of works agreed with Project Engineers/Managers in accordance with the project specification and applicable standards. Team Leaders are responsible for ensuring all work allocated is undertaken in accordance with Sydney Trains safety management system and staff are provided with the equipment to undertake the work safely and effectively. Team Leaders are to assist the Team Manager with developing staff through allocated training plans plus coaching and mentoring.
We are looking for Team Leader Civil who are technically competent in the rail and / or civil construction industry. The following qualifications are essential:
- Work Cover OH&S General Induction for Construction Work in NSW (Blue Card)
- Current Class C Australian drivers licence
- Rail Safety Induction Certificate (RISI) Certificate a current safe working qualifications as a protection officer class 2 (WPO02) or higher,
- Electrical Permit Holder (MEI 61) qualification,
In addition you must be able to demonstrate frontline supervisory skills, good diagnostic, analytical and problem solving skills coupled with strong communication and collaboration skills.
