Who we are
Established in 1998, and now a Division of the Downer EDI Group, UrbanGrid Australia has grown into Western Australia's largest, most diverse civil underground utility construction company, and are continuing to expand. UrbanGrid Australia specialises in the construction and installation of underground utility assets, and provides services to ATCO Gas Australia, Telstra, NBN Co, Vodafone and the Water Corporation.
The Role
Due to continued growth we are looking to engage multiple experienced Gas Fitter’s (G Class) with prior utilities experience on a permanent basis, with long term work opportunities.
G Class Fitter: This role will report to the Manager Corporate & Strategy and will be responsible for all related gas fitter duties inline with ATCO gas standards, meter replacements and completion of all required administration.
This is a varied and hands on role that would suit a dynamic, hardworking and approachable individual.
Essential criteria:
- A good work ethic and prior experience working with underground utilities/civil industry
- Atco gas experience and Atco network inducted a distinct advantage
- Construction Safety Card (White Card)
- Drivers Licence (MR/HR Desirable)
- Class G Gas Fitting Permit (EnergySafety)
- Workplace First Aid
- Traffic Management (Desirable)
- Competency via at least 2 referees from recent employers confirming capabilities
- Ability to work in a safe and efficient manner
- Be able to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screen
