Based in western Sydney, our client is an Australian owned leading national organisation focused in the area of height safety, access and fall-protection solutions. They design, manufacture and install safety access systems across a wide range of industries.

An opportunity exists for an experienced Project Manager to join the organisation. We seek a highly motivated individual with project management experience within the construction industry.

Reporting to the State Manager, this role is responsible for the effective planning and coordination of project design, fabrication and installation activities to ensure projects are delivered on time within budget and in accordance with the project scope of works.

Your duties will include but not be limited to:

• Responsible for the effective planning and coordination of project design, fabrication and installation activities, as required for all projects
• Conduct formal planning meetings with key project staff and client staff prior to and during the course of all projects
• Coordinate with all parties including contractors as required regarding fabrication requirements
• Prepare and coordinate construction and fabrication drawings for the project
• Administration of project portals for construction projects (e.g. Aconex, Project Centre, etc)
• Identify requirements for project variations and provide to the sales team
• Coordinate and complete the completion of approved project variations
• Utilize complete project data; monitor ongoing project costs, develop in a timely manner accurate project costs to complete reports and highlight as necessary significant project cost variations
• Prepare or assist in the preparation of project completion documentation as required
• Monitor outstanding debtors with the State Manager and halt all project works as instructed by the State Manager
• Ensure the adequate management, supervision and training of employees, apprentices, trainees and contractors in scope of control

To be successful in this role you will need:

• Minimum of 2 years experience in the position of Project Manager.
• Demonstrated cost effective management of projects in excess of $200K
• Relevant tertiary qualification or 2 years previous relevant industry experience
• Strong literacy and numeracy skills
• High level of initiative and ability to follow a task through to completion
• Demonstrated leadership style which advocates teamwork
• High level interpersonal and communication skills
• Highly organised with the capability to prioritise and meet deadlines
• Outstanding time management and planning skills
• Focused, excellent attention to detail
• Strong work ethic and enthusiastic
• Positive approach to work and colleagues
• Current valid drivers license in the issuing state
