The Company

Commercial & Industrial Contractor with more than 20 years’ experience in the industry providing concrete repair, joint sealing, waterproofing and remedial services. This contractor has a commitment to excellence in safety and quality of work. Due to business expansion, the company is currently seeking a motivated, highly organised individual to join our Perth team.

The Role

Your role as an Estimator will be primarily to assist in growing the business and delivering quality outcomes for our customers. You will be responsible for;
  • Preparing tender submissions for multiple projects and variations effectively, producing to the customer in a timely manner.
  • Conducting contracts administration for projects starting up.
  • Managing quoting procedures and protocols.
  • Utilizing your construction knowledge to interpret plans, specifications and quotes.
  • Liaising with contractors, consultants, clients and the company internal teams to generate new business. 
Your role as a Project Manager will be primarily to oversee projects, delivering quality outcomes for our customers and hands on as required. You will be responsible for; 
  • Project management from award to practical completion.
  • Managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Project managing all aspects of the project including HSECQ, Financial and Quality.
  • Coordinating procurement, labour and subcontractors.
  • Programming and progress reporting. 
  • Maintain supervision of personnel, both in performance and compliance of all company policies and procedures.
  • Liaising with clients on existing projects to generate new business.
  • Identifying, organising and overseeing appropriate staff training, will include some hands on.
Required Skills
  • A minimum of 3-4 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Experience estimating on projects valuing (Approx $50,000 - $2M) within the residential, commercial and industrial industry, preferably local.
  • Remedial experience including but not limited to Joint Sealing, Concrete Repair, Façade Remediation, Waterproofing etc.
  • Project management of jobs including co-ordination of team and job specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail with good communication and interpersonal skills, well presented with a professional attitude.
  • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Excel.
  • Current ‘C’ Class drivers licence.
  • Building and Construction white card.
  • WA Police Clearance.
  • Ability to attain pre-employment medical and Drug and Alcohol requirements.
Preferred Skills
  • Tertiary qualifications in either Quantity Surveying / Engineering / Construction Management is preferred but not essential.
