As a result of our ongoing success we are seeking applications for a Project Site Manager to join our team for upcoming projects that are due to start.

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Site Manager with a positive attitude and an ability to work well within a team environment.

 

The Role

The role of the Site Manager is to lead the project delivery functions and requirements of Dale Alcock Projects Division on the project. The role has responsibility over every stage in the delivery of the project from initial planning and assessment through to the delivery and finalisation activities of secured projects.

Reporting to our Projects Construction Manager you will be responsible for the management and delivery of quality workmanship on each project. Some of your key deliverables will be:

HSE

  • Implement the specific Project Health and Safety Plan, and monitor the projects safety outputs. Assist in the development of a positive safety culture on our projects. Ensure that all subcontractors have an agreed Safe Work Method Statement (SWMS) in place prior to the commencement of any works. Provide leadership to the site team and drive the initiative through the supply chain.

Conversion of Projects

  • Hold workshops and assess options for best methods to deliver the project. Lead the discussion on innovation or ways to do things ‘better’ on our projects. Assist where required in the assessment and procurement of trades for the project.

Delivery of Project

  • Be responsible for all delivery aspects of the project. Agree specific responsibilities with the Project Manager & Construction Manager to clarify the ownership of particular aspects of the project. Take the lead and review the short range programming function of the project. Prioritise and troubleshoot the construction activities when the need arises and maintain the construction programme.

Site Meetings

  • Attend and drive the direction of the project through an effective meeting strategy. Lead the safety, quality and time requirements of the site team and subcontractor communication meetings.

Client/Delivery Partner Management

  • Assist as required at a project level of managing our relationship with clients and delivery partners.

Innovation

  • Actively promote and trial innovation in our methodology processes and outputs.

Leadership

  • Create an environment for exceptional team performance to ensure the teams roles, skills and behaviour are aligned with the Dale Alcock objectives and project requirements. Assist in acquiring, training and deploying the project delivery team as they grow.

 

What you’ll need

A high level of team spirit coupled with a positive and flexible attitude and strong work ethic are essential. To be considered for the role you will have:

EDUCATION: A Registered Builder practitioner with a discipline background or ideally tertiary qualified in Building & Construction, Trade or Supervisory qualifications.

EXPERIENCE:  A minimum of 5 years construction experience with experience in - Managing people including client and subcontractors, developing construction programs in a project area, detailed design review and issue resolution, site environment, health and safety management, Quality control management, reviewing design drawings. Experienced in Class 2 & medium density construction projects. Successfully completed projects valued from $2-10 million. Experience in the administration of commercial projects above $2 Million. Excellent programming & planning skills, experience with MS Project,  superior communication skills,  high attention to detail,  excellent technical knowledge,  great leadership & motivation skills, the capability of working in a fast paced environment which embodies the culture and core values of Dale Alcock and the ABN Group.
