ABOUT THE COMPANY.

A local industry leader that is renowned for the delivery innovative commercial and residential projects. Specialising in the delivery of high end homes, commercial office fitouts and refurbishments up to $10m. With an impressive portfolio of completed projects and a focus on maintaining strong Client relationships, this firm continues to grow.

ABOUT THE POSITION.

As a Junior Estimator, reporting to the General Manager, you will commence your role tendering for various commercial projects. In this role, you will be required to work as part of a team and autonomously as well as liaising with Clients. The office is conveniently located in the CBD where you will have the option for flexible working hours.

DUTIES.

Prepare tender submissions and take offs
Measure and calculate the cost of materials
Prepare BOQs and quotes
Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors
Contract administration and letting
Negotiation

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE.

At least 1 year previous estimation experience with a Building Construction head contractor
Tertiary qualification in a building related discipline
Experience using Buildsoft or CostX is advantageous but not essential
Strong written and verbal communication skills
