DSQ Pty Ltd was formed in September 2016 from the restructure of the Definium Group of Companies. The DSQ team has vast experience in many facets of the Surveying profession including cadastral surveying, engineering surveying, hydrographic surveying, UAV mapping, GIS and data management.
DSQ is currently seeking Drafter/Civil Designer applicants to work in our Sunshine Coast office on a full-time basis.
General Requirements:
The general requirements for this role are:
- Applicants must be legally able to work in Australia (Australian Resident or have a current Australian Work Visa).
- Applicants should have the capacity to work with minimum supervision, and have good communication and organisational skills.
- Applicants must be able to work in a team environment.
- Applicants must be experienced CAD drafters, with a minimum of three years’ experience in drafting and/or civil design.
- Competence using Autodesk Civil3D and 12D software is essential.
Role Description:
Drafter/Civil Designer – We are offering a full-time position based at our Warana office on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland. DSQ employees work a 9 day fortnight (76 hours total). This role will report to our Drafting Manager, and assist our drafting team to produce quality plans and accurate data for our customers. Our work typically includes property development, building construction, cadastral surveys, infrastructure, hydrographic surveys, civil design and GIS services.
Our customers include residential developers, local governments, state government departments, gas companies, pipeline owners/operators, construction contractors and builders. The drafting role will include tasks such as preparing earthworks design drawings for CSG well pads, reducing detail survey data and creating surface models and plans, drafting cadastral survey plans, setout calculations for survey teams, reducing and presenting as-built survey data, converting data formats, QA of plans.
