The Role:
Program Officer to join an outstanding Government department based in Sydney CBD. You will be responsible for coordinating the delivery of individual capital works projects and programs as directed and applying best practice project management principles in order that time, cost, quality, safety and regulatory compliance and corporate and stakeholders' expectations are met. 

In this role you will be required to:

• Become the team ‘Go To’ Program Officer for construction stage activities.
• Actively manage in partnership with stakeholders, consultants and suppliers on all phases of projects from inception to completion.
• After initial construction focus period, scope for expansion across broader Program Officer role (whilst retaining construction phase leadership and mentoring).
• Oversee and monitor time, cost and quality of projects from inception to handover.
• Manage procurement of construction project managers, design teams and building contractors.

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate the following:

• Minimum 5 years within the construction industry
• Degree qualification in Construction, Engineering or Project Management
• Demonstrated experience in successfully project managing construction projects to a value of more than $20m in a commercial environment
• Solid communication and technical skills
