The Role:
You will oversee the development of project briefs for major capital works projects and programs. You will manage and oversee the forward works project procurement including engaging consultants and contractors responsible for delivering individual projects and programs. You will be joining a team of existing Project Directors and report directly to the Senior Project Director of Capital Works.
  
In this role you will be responsible for:   

• Managing state-wide delivery interfaces with contract management service providers.
• Managing the finance of all construction projects, including consultants and contractors in accordance with legislation and contracts.
• Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Evaluate the progress and performance of designated capital works programs and projects.

As the ideal candidate you will:   

• Possess superior communication and organisation development skills and be able to thrive in a collaborative work environment.
• Come from a Program Management background and have previous experience managing a variety of programs across multiple construction projects.
• Be degree qualified in a construction management or engineering discipline.
• Show proven financial management skills with the ability to manage projects to a budget of more than $40M. Experience on projects over $100M highly sort after.
• Demonstrate experience in "client side" community/stakeholder consultation and engagement.
• Have the proven ability to manage multiple programs in a dynamic, commercial environment.
• Hold a valid driver's licence.
