The Role:
We are currently seeking a Contracts Administrator with Commercial experience to join our team. The main focus of this role will be to manage the administration, commercial and financial functions of projects and to oversee project cost reporting, letting and financial administration.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Engage, coordinate and manage trades
- Communicate and negotiate with trades to track the progress of jobs
- Dispute/issue resolution as required
- Work closely with estimators, supervisors and team
- Maintain a comprehensive working knowledge of the head contract
- Assist in organising contracts, processing quotes and updating variations
- Establish, maintain and control an effective cost control and reporting system
- Prepare monthly progress claims to the client
- Ensure the timely and accurate processing of accounts and payroll information
- Administer projects to ensure a timely and efficient completion of the head contract and subcontracts
- Ensure all inspections, certificates of final inspection from building surveyor and all relevant documentation is signed off
- Previous Contracts Administration experience
- 5+ years Commercial Construction industry experience
- Previous experience with a tier 2 or 3 Commercial Builder
- Relevant Building & Construction qualification
- Excellent communication skills, including a professional phone manner
- Ability to develop strong relationships
- Excellent time management & organisational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a high pressure environment
- Highly computer literate including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
