The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Regional Estimator to join the Estimation Team located at our Fairfield Head Office. Reporting to the Regional Estimation Manager, the purpose of the role is to work closely with the Regional Service Team to ensure all customer quotations and estimations focusing on machine and major component rebuilds are compiled in an efficient and accurate manner and delivered in line with Komatsu Australia Policies and Procedures and in line with the Customer Support Charter.
 
The Role
The successful person will be able to demonstrate an appropriate level of technical understanding of the design & function of Komatsu equipment in order to be able to compile and present accurate estimations and quotes for Customers in a professional and efficient manner. You will be required to develop strong working relationships with key stakeholders both internally and with Customers.
Additionally, this position will involve reviewing pre and post shut downs identifying opportunities for improvements as well as interpreting the customers' needs further solidifying Komatsu customer relationship in turn increasing revenue prospects.
 
To be considered for this position you must have:
 

• Prior experience estimating and quoting mobile maintenance equipment
• A Trade Qualification will be highly regarded
• Proficient Microsoft (MS) Office suite experience
• MS Project and Dynamics experience is desirable
• Professional communication skills in a variety of mediums and able to build effective working relationships at all levels
• Possess a positive, ethical and 'can do' approach to work
• A dependable and reliable manner willing to offer assistance ensuring the common goal is achieved
• Demonstrated understanding and knowledge of the heavy equipment business and products
• A solid understanding of Earthmoving machinery
