With a track record of success in NSW and VIC, Prime Build has recently established our Queensland (Virginia) office and this role presents a fantastic opportunity to be part of our founding team, helping to shape the future success of Prime Build in the region with the security of an established pipeline of works ahead.

The Project Coordinator will support the Project Manager with planning, resourcing, control and delivery of construction projects in accordance with the Prime Build systems, procedures, policies and values. This includes:

• assisting with the development of a construction strategy and program;
• undertaking effective risk analysis;
• coordination of project activities, resources, equipment and information;
• client engagement to identify and define project requirements, scope and objectives and ensure that clients’ needs are met as the project evolves; and
• a focus on safety, actively seeking to reduce risk and ensure the health and safety of staff throughout the project.

As the ideal opportunity for someone looking to progress into a Project Management role within a supportive learning environment, this role will suit someone recently qualified in Construction Management (or similar) with some previous experience in the industry and a desire to excel. We will also consider final year students, or someone with a trade background making the transition into Project Management.

This role will suit you if you...

• Possess a sound understanding of project methodologies.
• Can work in a team to achieve projects within/under budget.
• Thrive in a small team environment
• Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to negotiate and resolve issues at all levels.
• Have solid time management and organisational skills with the ability to respond flexibly to changes in scope, timeframes etc.
• Have a basic knowledge of relevant/similar software (e.g. Procore, Jobpac, Microsoft Project).
• Either possess tertiary qualifications in construction management (or similar), be in their final year of study or have a trade background transitioning into Project Management.
• Are an Australian resident, or have full working rights in Australia.
