Our Infrastructure Services division operates three business units: Road Services; Infrastructure Projects and Utilities. As we continue our evolution of growth and innovation, the best people are critical to our success in supporting our customers and catering to market demands.
The Downer/ Seymour Whyte Joint Venture recently awarded the construct only contract for the 10.5km Berry to Bomaderry Upgrade. The JV will build four lanes of new divided road between Mullers Lane at Berry and the Cambewarra Road roundabout at Bomaderry in addition to building temporary roads and carrying out road work for the safety of motorists and workers. When completed, it will be the final piece of more than 30km of highway upgraded between Gerringong and Bomaderry since work started in 2012.
Our Infrastructure Projects business is now seeking to engage the capability of an experienced Senior Contracts Manager for works in the Berry/Nowra region. This is an excellent opportunity for a self-driven Senior Contracts Manager to work on a RMS roads project focusing on Safety, Value for money and efficiency.
ABOUT YOU
- Demonstrated capability in RMS roads and bridge projects working as a Civil Engineer or Construction Manager
- Stakeholder management across all project levels
- Demonstrated experience in delivery of large civil roads projects
- Exposure to resource planning, business and project management
- Preparation of project budgets and review of financial information to make sound business decisions
- Possesses strong negotiation & problem solving skills
- Built a reputation on trust by delivering on promises with excellence while focusing on safety, value for money and efficiency
- You will be an active team member in the preparation of tenders and negotiations of contracts
- The ability to build connections and collaborate with project teams to build and sustain enduring relationships
- Proficient computer skills with a high competence in the Microsoft Office suite
- Strong safety focus with demonstrated evidence of actively promoting and sustaining a Zero harm environment
- Ideally you will have qualifications in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
