Our areas of expertise cover commercial, domestic and remote area construction (Townsville and North-Western QLD areas).
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for an Estimator to help our expanding business. A major aspect of this role will be estimating and liaising with customers, suppliers and contractors. You will also work closely with the Director, Construction Manager and Operational Support Manager to deliver high quality tenders and quotes. The role will require some travel but will be primarily based in our Townsville office.
DUTIES WILL INCLUDE
- Creating both domestic and commercial quotes & tenders (including researching and analysing supplier’s quotes, measuring onsite, liaising with clients, etc)
- Answering tender and quote related calls and queries
- Reading and understanding government and commercial tenders and scheduling & liaising information
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE
- Ideally you will have a network of resources and be familiar with the processes and requirements of government and commercial tenders and quotes
- Min 5 years’ experience in the building/construction industry (essential)
- Trade qualified
- Experience and confidence in quoting jobs
- Confident in the use of Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to think on your feet with strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work to deadlines
- Willingness to travel to remote parts of Queensland
