Shamrock Civil Engineering is a reputable mid-tier civil construction contractor with well-established connections in the civil construction and mining industries. You will be reporting directly to the Chief Estimator and can look forward to duties that include but are not limited to:

• Prepare estimates, tenders and quotes in conjunction with the rest of the estimating team.
• Liaise with client on an ongoing basis to determine progress of tender.
• Obtain client's feedback on submitted tenders and present the results at the estimating team meetings.
• Participate in development of methodology and programming for tenders.
• Assist with preparation of 'Expression of Interest' and 'Capability Statements' to key potential client as required.
• Maintain, update and enhance the organisation's estimating databases (suppliers contact list, tenders and potential jobs registers) and library (standards, suppliers' catalogues).
• Coordinate and organise with Senior Management team a review of all tenders prior to final submission to client.

You will ideally be qualified in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying or related discipline with possession of QLD (C) class drivers licence. You should have had a minimum of 5 years experience with exposure to construction, mining or civil with references to support your application.

You will also be able to demonstrate the following:

• Good understating of construction methods, and related documentation, including Specifications, plans and drawings.
• Ability to acquire understanding of SCE's quality and estimating procedures.
• Ability to deal with clients, project staff and industry contacts.
• A high level of computer literacy including MS Word, Excel and Project, Vista and estimating software packages.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
