ABOUT US

St Agnes’ Parish is a dynamic not-for-profit organisation located in idyllic Port Macquarie. The Parish employs more than 800 staff who serve the local Hastings/Macleay community in aged care, community welfare, early childhood services and education.

THE POSITION

We have an exciting opportunity for a Property Maintenance & Projects Coordinator. Reporting to the Property Services Manager, you will coordinate the preventative maintenance schedule for all St Agnes’ Parish properties. You will proactively ensure maintenance schedules are kept up to date and all works are carried out by contractors are in accordance with relevant safety and compliance standards. You will be responsible for the coordination, work oversight, completion and record keeping of all proactive and reactive maintenance completed on Parish buildings.

You will also have the opportunity to coordinate minor projects through to completion, ensuring safety, cost and quality standards are met.

You will be a highly organised person with a systematic approach to your work, using computer software to your advantage to keep records and schedule. You will have a strong mix of administration, projects and facilities experience and extensive experience in the building and construction industry. The appreciation and application of safe work practices are an essential part of the role, so WHS exposure will be highly regarded.

SELECTION CRITERIA

  • Commitment to work in harmony with Catholic Values and Principles
  • Trade qualification (e.g. carpentry/building)
  • At least 5 years’ experience in the building and construction industry
  • Demonstrated experience with planned facility maintenance
  • Demonstrated ability to liaise, communicate effectively and build relationships with all stakeholders
  • Administration skills, attention to detail, and computer skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team, under pressure and with minimal supervision.
