Due to the award of several new projects, we are looking for a Lead Project Controls Engineer to join our Perth based team
Lycopodium Minerals is a leading Australian engineering consultancy specializing in the design, development and construction of mineral processing and mining related projects. These projects range from prototype development plants to world-class greenfield projects located in Australia and overseas.
An opportunity has become available for an experienced Lead Project Controls Engineer to join our Perth based Projects team.
Reporting to the Group Manager - Project Services in Perth you will be responsible for:
- Ensuring the necessary project controls are implemented and maintained and that they provide quality up to date data and diagnostics to assist with the management of project activities.
- Initiating continuous improvements to and project control procedures and processes, in particular cost control, schedule and performance management.
- Coordinating cost, schedule and performance reporting in accordance with company and client requirements
- Reporting of control budgets, forecasts and cost commitments. Assist with the timely and accurate allocation of budgets to project documentation.
- Assist team members with re-forecasting and estimating activities to complete project cost forecasts (trending).
This is a very ‘hands on’ role. The successful candidate will display the following:
- 8+ years in a similar role
- Proven experience leading a team.
- A strong background in scheduling and cost control for construction projects
- Previous project controls experience within an EPCM company
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with Primavera and Oracle Project Management is desirable
