Oldfields Scaffold is a leading national supplier of Aluminium, Fibreglass & steel scaffolding solutions to the Building, Construction & services industries. We are currently looking for a Business Development Manager to work between our  Yatala and Caboolture Branch operations.

We require the services of an experienced sales person who has been selling / estimating scaffolding solutions directly into the building & construction sector, industrial & government maintenance industries.

This is a results orientated position with the ability to think outside the square to achieve the required results whilst working within  two small but highly motivated environments.  This position comes with autonomy so a highly motivated results persons is required.

If you enjoy the challenge of sourcing new business in various market segments whilst also looking after existing clients, have excellent negotiation skills, are driven by sales targets and have a skill to provide a solution and convert quotes to sales - this could be the job for you.

The role prospects for new clients, enhances existing client relationships, coordinates and prepares full cost estimates on scaffolding tenders, working closely with our other estimators and branch offices to follow up on business leads. 

The ideal candidate will have the following experience and skills:

  • Essential - In depth experience & knowledge of the scaffolding industry
  • 3+ years Sales experience  - Essential
  • Experience in negotiating with customers and demonstrated ability to achieve a win/win outcome
  • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
  • Good time management and organisational ability, with attention to detail
  • Experience working to budgets and targets
  • Hire & Maintenance industry knowledge
  • An inside working knowledge of government maintenance contracts - desirable
  • Computer skills – Microsoft office essential
  • Advanced scaffold ticket - preferable & highly desirable
