Exhibitionco Pty Limited has been in the exhibition and trade show industry for over 27 years. We are based on Sydney's Northern Beaches and are housed in over 3,000 sq metres of workshop, office and storage space at Cromer. We are a turnkey design and production house, which specialises in exhibition stands, events and retail displays. We stand apart from other companies by providing our customers with a unique 'one stop shop' for all of their brand activation and exhibition and display requirements.

About the role

You will be driving the processes for building and finishing all components for assembly, packing and installation to ensure targets are achieved.

Key Responsibilities

The Construction Manager reports to the GM Shared Services and is responsible for:

  • Managing all areas of the factory (cabinetry/woodwork, metal, paint) to direct activities and construct displays and stands on-schedule and within safety and quality standards and cost objectives.
  • Integral member of the operations management team (with project management leader, detailers), working in a collaborative and team focussed approach to ensure displays and stands are effectively and efficiently constructed, prepared, transported, assembled and dismantled to quality standards and on time according to project plans; meets DIFOTA performance indicators.
  • Ensuring increasing levels of customer and employee satisfaction while improving the efficiency of the workforce, materials and machines.
  • Developing the competencies of the construction team, including effective apprenticeship program, and ensuring that succession plan is continually in place.

Experience, Skills and Knowledge

  • 5 years management experience in manufacturing environments (desirably some in exhibition industry).
  • Technical skills in materials and inventory management, build methods, production scheduling and preventative maintenance.
  • A demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others.
  • Ability to perform short and long range planning and controlling outcomes in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Excellent program management skills.
  • Computer proficiency.
