Junior Project Manager - D&C Fit-out and Refurbishments

Your new company
I’m currently working with market leading D&C fit-out and refurbishment contractor with an International presence, with offices throughout Australia. They are a well-respected name in the Melbourne market and they are now looking to welcome a Junior Project Manager into their expanding team. With a strong history of successfully developing Junior staff into self-standing Project Managers, this is an excellent opportunity for a Contracts Administrator looking to make a step up or a Junior Project Manager looking to further their career with a leading brand name.

Your new role
As part of a dynamic and well-rounded team, you will be exposed to a diverse range of D&C projects varying between high end corporate, medical facilities, health and government works to values up to $10m. With the support of Senior management you will be required to:

• Review and develop scope of work packages
• Obtaining quotations from various sub-contract trades, comparing and contrasting each in order to maximise project cost efficiency.
• Aiding in negotiation and contractual claims
• Assist in cash flow reporting and management

What you’ll need to succeed:

• Hold a tertiary qualification in Construction Management or a construction related field
• Possess a minimum of 1-2 years experience in the construction industry
• Have an excellent work ethic and desire to continually develop
• You must be able to work to tight time constrains with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
