This is a unique opportunity to work for a large Mid-Tier builder new to the Sydney market. The company have been in business in Melbourne since 2000 and currently turn over $500m-$600m. They build from start to finish, ensuring optimum consistency, cost efficiency and quality of finishes on every project they take on. This builder works across a range of industries from retail and industrial to commercial, sport and recreation, multi-residential and medical projects. Typically, projects range from $20m - $150m and they have an array of strong blue-chip clients that they work with from their relationships in Melbourne and Sydney. They are renowned for possessing a superior level of expertise and experience in the industry and winning awards for building excellence.
  
WHAT'S ON OFFER
Our client is looking for a Site Manager to oversee a new Health / Commercial project. The project is worth $35m and is a complex new build which has both commercial and health as part of the build. This client has already secured a Hotel project in the CBD worth $70m and a residential project worth $30m. This is a great opportunity to get into this business in their early stages and work with some strong people at the top of their game. You will be joining this builder as one of their first Site Managers and there is huge scope to grow with this organisation.
  
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Programming and co-ordination of sub-contractors, suppliers, and materials deliveries
• Developing and building strong rapport with site teams, internal and external stakeholders
• Liaison with client ensuring successful delivery of project to schedule
• Management of the construction program along with the Project Manager and Construction Manager
• Liaison with the commercial team to identify variations and claims
• Managing OHS compliance on site including site inductions

KEY REQUIREMENTS  

• Trade qualification as a Carpenter
• Extensive local experience on Health and Commercial projects from $20m - $100m
• Minimum 5yrs local experience as a Site Manager delivering complex new build projects
• Good man-management skills with the ability to motivate and drive direct & sub-contract labour 
• Highly skilled in OH&S
• Excellent time management and organisational skills
• Ability to solve problems and manage conflict effectively
• A commitment to quality and an eye for detail
