Firemex Pty Ltd is a leading manufacturer of fire doors and solid core doors located in Salisbury. We have been servicing the fire and building industry for over 29 years. We manufacture, supply and install doors at job locations throughout Queensland, as well as interstate and overseas.

We are currently seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Project Manager to co-ordinator our smaller jobs up to $200k. There will be the opportunity to estimate and quote as well. 

Projects will include shopping centres, residential developments, schools, aged care facilities, commercial buildings.

Key duties for this role:

  • Raise purchase orders for door frames and associated hardware & materials required for project
  • Prepare job sheet for in-house door manufacture and co-ordinate lead times with Operations Manager
  • Organise delivery of items to site and installation of doors with our Installations Co-ordinator
  • Ensure job stays on track within client's timeframes and communicate with client to keep them up to date regarding the status of their job at all times
  • Prepare job file for invoicing and/or part claims including variations in a timely manner
  • Ensure all documentation is maintained in job files and computer programs are updated
  • Ability to read construction drawings and interpret into take offs
  • Provide accurate estimation of tenders and quotes

The successful applicant will possess the following:

  • Relevant experience in a similar position and/or trade experience
  • High level of organisational and time management skills as you will have several projects to co-ordinate at the same time
  • Very high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Professional written and verbal communication
  • Strong negotiating skills
  • Strong computer skills - Microsoft Excel is essential
  • Experience using Simpro will be an advantage

Salary offered will be based on strength of skills and experience.  Uniforms will be supplied.
