This is a highly rewarding and challenging role for an experienced Sales Estimator to join our Estimating team located at the Metricon Norwood Office.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, your responsibilities will include:

• Completing all estimating requirements and documentation within budgeted timelines;
• Preparing and documenting specific estimates in accordance with the Metricon design and construction details;
• Calculating quantities and maintaining inventories for standard options to complement our product range, using Metricon’s Estimating Systems software;
• Setting prices based on supplier rates and margin schedules; and
• Liaising with a number of internal stakeholders including Sales, Designers and Purchasing teams.

The successful candidate will have:

• An Associate Diploma in Building Construction or equivalent construction knowledge (preferred);
• Knowledge of the Building Code of Australia and proven experience in estimating is preferred;
• Excellent organisational skills and an eye for detail;
• Carpenter looking for a change would be an advantage;
• An interest in continuous improvement and a willingness to provide feedback to management; and
• The ability to thrive in a goal driven, dedicated team environment.
