The Organisation
A leading NSW Government organisation is looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager for a contract position based in the city. This Department is inspiring strong communities. It is working towards creating the benchmark for a collaborative partnership with key stakeholders to deliver better outcomes in the area of planning, local government and the environment.
The Role
The Senior Project Manager manages and coordinates the implementation and evaluation of complex projects. You will be tasked with achieving project reporting obligations, appropriate assurance standards and outcomes to support the achievement of organisational objectives. The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for managing the entire life-cycle of dynamic and multifaceted projects.
The Senior Project Manager provides a range of project management and support services, including preparation of reports and briefs, coordinating meetings and workshops. When required you will act as secretariat for key meetings, maintaining project documentation and implementing and monitoring project plans. This is to ensure program outcomes are achieved on time, on budget, to quality standards and within agreed scope. You will be required to work in line with established project management methodology.
The Person
The department is looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager that will promote a strong project and program support-centred ethos. You will be focused on collaborating and assisting the development of a continuously improving culture across all geographically dispersed projects. The Senior Project Manager will support and enable project managers to deliver projects on time and on budget.
