Installation Manager
Our client:
One of the largest and most iconic names in global Rail suppliers. They are a global entity with an outstanding reputation in the market, winning a long list of awards world-wide.
They supply across multiple sectors; transport, services, energy, access, brakes & safety. Having serviced multiple rail systems, in that of light rail, freight, high-speed, locomotive & regional trains.
Job Description:
Reporting to the Project Manager the main focus of your role is the overall management, accountability and control of all technical aspects of the project, working closely with the Project Manager, the Site team and the installation subcontractor to ensure completion of the installation, testing and commissioning within established quality, schedule and delivery targets and requirements.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Interface for all site matters between the client and the internal; technical teams
- Ensure all and improve all Quality, Cost and Delivery of instillation works.
- Manage the Instillation of Sub Contractors
- Progress reporting to clients and Project Management teams
- Promote a safe working environment
- Manage all technical project matters and deliver specified outcomes
- Prepare instillation procedures and method statements
- Maintain the project KPI’s
The main requirement for this role is significant experience in the instillation of complex systems and products into a highly regulated environment. Other requirements include:
- Highly motivated with strong problem solving skills and the proven ability to organise and prioritise tasks while maintaining a consistently high quality of work.
- Commitment to the principles of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement.
- Outstanding oral, written communication and interpersonal skills and demonstrated success at building and maintaining excellent relationships with key people and team members, recognising and resolving conflict.
- Previous sales experience in either aerospace, automotive, defence, or rail industries will be well regarded.
- Demonstrated experience in the delivery of technical projects; and experience in resolving complex issues;
- Demonstrating experience in prioritizing, planning and reporting on work output.
- Engineering or Technical Degree in mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- Motor vehicle driver licence.
- Knowledge of Australian Standards
- Must hold or obtain Rail Industry Safety Induction (RISI) qualifications and Medicals or similar (if required);
