We are currently seeking an experienced procurement professional for a 6 month maximum-term contract opportunity with the possibility for extension. Our organisation values teamwork, communication, positive leadership and prioritises people first.

About the role

  • Source and select suppliers to our business and preparing and executing short term and long term contracts
  • Develop strategic solutions and continuous improvement opportunities
  • Leads negotiation of pricing and contract terms & conditions
  • Prepares and executes negotiation strategies resulting in contractual documents and binding agreements
  • Interprets and enforces contract terms and conditions
  • Consults with customers and stakeholders to resolve supplier performance issues
  • Participates on supply chain process improvement teams and identifies improvement opportunities for potential integration into supplier contract strategies
  • Manages priorities for procurement project delivery
  • Creates or modifies procurement procedures and oversees the administration of supplier management's delegation of authority
  • Works with stakeholders to formalize procurement requirements and develop statements of work
  • Ensures compliance with company procedures and regulatory requirements
  • Manages contract terminations and develops contract management plans.
  • Leads or participates in proposal analysis to fulfill customer and program strategic requirements.
  • Communicates across functions and programs to manage risks, issues and performance to plan.
  • Manages or leads cross functional teams to deploy improved processes, systems and tools.
  • Provides direction to suppliers to improve performance and ensure contractual requirements are met.
  • Participates on import and export compliance teams.
  • Management of General Terms Agreement, Special Business Provisions, and amendments incorporating pricing changes and airplane program customer contract requirements
  • Providing contractual advice and recommendations to the business and leadership team
  • Contract administration to ensure performance and implementation of corrective actions
  • Ensure compliance to government regulations and customer policies

About you

  • 5+ years of experience in a procurement, or contracts management role
  • Tertiary level or equivalent qualifications in law, contracts, procurement, supply chain or business / commerce
  • Proven experience in Contract Administration, Procurement or Business Management is required.
  • Experience in full contract lifecycle procurement, ideally in a manufacturing environment
  • Effective problem solving, negotiation
  • Strong decision making skills
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications and understand manufacturing process flows would be an advantage. Experienced in the use of SAP will  be highly regarded
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Strong collaboration and relationship building skills
  • Project management, time management, and organisation skills

Additional information

Remuneration will be commensurate with skills and experience. The successful candidate will be required to complete pre-employment checks and a 3 month probationary period.
