HRS is currently recruiting for an experienced Cost Planner/Estimator for our highly reputable client.

They operate in a diverse range of new build and refurbishment sectors including; Industrial, Commercial, Education, Residential, Retail, Aged Care and Health. They have a strong reputation in the market and deliver exceptional projects that ensure there is a constant workflow with new clients and repeat customers.
THE ROLE
Cost Planner/Estimator – The role would require someone who is looking to make the jump from a Quantity Surveyor. You will have had previous dealings with builders and experience in preparing bills of quantities for tendering, cost planning and estimating. You will be given the opportunity for consistent workflow in a strong team and be presented the opportunity to grow, develop skills and progress within the company.
To be successful you will possess the following desirable criteria:

• Provide high level Cost Planning/Estimating to clients’ pre-tender and preconstruction
• Develop a cost plan during master planning for key milestones points during the design to ensure the project budget is met.
• Bachelor of Construction (Quantity Surveying / Construction Economics) or related field
• A minimum of 5 plus years post-graduation construction cost estimating experience
• Experience measuring diverse commercial projects - new build preferred
• Familiarity with on screen take-off systems and various estimating software systems
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or related construction degree/ diploma
• Experience working directly for a builder highly desirable
