The Company:

Well established civil contractor based in Sydney are looking for a WHS Advisor with excellent compliance understanding to join their team.

The company specialises in providing deconstruction services for their network of clients and stakeholders in the mining and construction sector.

Our client is especially keen to hear from candidates that are confident communicators, have a background working in the engineering or construction space and are passionate about creating and maintain a safe work
environment.

The Role:

The primary purpose of the role is to promote Work, Health & Safety in a collaborative and informative manner within the business. You will work alongside employees and subcontractors and have a strong field- based presence to mentor staff on all safety matters.

What you’ll do:

• Utilise your strong compliance background to project compliance to safety regulations and processes
• Use your natural, confident communication style to develop strong relationship with stakeholders
• Implement the work, health and safety procedures based on the client’s policies
• Apply your high attention to detail, to spot gaps for improvement and carry out training
• Exercise your excellent documentation skills to maintain comprehensive WHS reports
• Use your intuitive work style, to continue to make health and safety improvements
• Apply leadership skills, to carry out necessary WHS training

What you’ll need:

• 3+ years’ experience in a safety role
• Exposure to the construction industry particularly site environments
• Certificate IV in WHS
• Australian driver’s license and ability to travel to various sites
• A solid understanding of the project environment
