Project Manager
- Location: Fawkner
- Full-time, Fixed-term Contract ( 5 Year Contract)

The requirement, at a high level, is to engage two project managers with strong project implementation experience in delivering infrastructure projects including co-ordinating and overseeing all activities by contractors/staff engaged to undertake the projects
Our ideal project manager(s) will need to keep the manager development and infrastructure program (MDIP) informed on the status of work, including any potential risks, issues, variations or delays.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assist manager MDIP to develop annual business plans, budget bids, business cases and objectives for work unit, consistent with organisational strategic directions and objectives
- Support the development and infrastructure program team in the strategic development of the infrastructure program and other civil construction works
- Developing specifications and tender documentation in accordance with GMCT procurement policies, procedures and delegations
- Oversee induction of contractors and consultants to ensure all contractors perform in accordance with their contracts and GMCT policies and procedures
- Provide accurate and timely advice and information to MDIP on status of nominates projects
- Promote, build and maintain good communication and working relationships within work units and across other GMCT departments
- Work with MDIP and senior management team to uphold the GMCT vision, mission and values and the objectives incorporated within strategic, annual and business plans related to the delivery of project
To be successful in this position you will require:
- Degree or diploma in civil engineering with 2 to 3 years or relevant construction experience
- Ability to effectively communicate at the executive level
- Proven capability in project management
- Demonstrated ability to undertake analysis, generate and report on information and provide recommendations
