Exceptional opportunity on offer to join this high profile Development company who have a reputation built on quality and a commitment to state of the art projects. Having recently secured this multi-million dollar development site in the heart of Melbourne we are now seeking an experienced client side Project Manager with Hotel development experience to head up this project.
Reporting to the Head of Development you will be challenged and well rewarded for your performance. A key to being successful in this role will be your strong people skills and sound hotel project knowledge or commercial mixed used project experience. The role will also call for well-developed oral and written communication skills, good organisational skills, computer literacy, and natural leadership qualities.
Core duties:
- Overseeing an exciting hotel or a mixed used commercial project on the edge of the city from inception to completion
- Ensuring projects are completed according to budget, program and specific project objectives
- Overseeing the preparation, submission and negotiation of variations submissions
- Tender review and analysis
- Prepare monthly reports addressing the performance of the projects, areas of concern and opportunities on each project assigned
- Maintain a strong team commitment within the project team and company generally
- Ensure that best practice is used at all times
- Construction and financial reporting
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Skills ideally sought:
To be considered for this role you will have extensive client side Project Management experience in Hotel developments or commercial mixed used projects and will have successfully managed and completed medium to large scale hotel projects on time and on budget. Degree qualifications would be preferred. Salary is negotiable and will depend on what you have accomplished in the market to date but will be negotiable based on experience.
