Randstad have been engaged by a multi-disciplined civil and mining construction company who focus on large scale projects in infrastructure, utilities, mining and rail work. They have identified the need for a Quantity Surveyor to come on board on a contract basis within the renewable space.
This opportunity is on a FIFO 3/1 roster
Reporting to the Project Commercial Manager duties will include:
- Coordinating contract management
- Dealing with subcontractor management on a daily basis
- Arrange for execution of all subcontract agreements and variations thereafter
- Preparing Client submissions
- Handling information request
- Managing subcontractor invoicing processes
- Forecasting costs, values and variations
- Compilation of monthly reports
- Ensuring any areas of concern are highlighted
To be considered for this position we are seeking the following skills and experience:
- Qualifications in Civil Engineering, Construction, Quantity Surveying or other relevant qualifications
- Previous Contract Administrator, Quantity within the Civil market
- Ideally mining and gas industry background
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously and use initiative to complete tasks and goals using a common sense approach
- High attention to detail
- Strong commercial acumen, cost management and financial reporting skills
