A national business with their manufacturing site in Victoria and sales depots in all major Australian capitals, they are recognised as a go to brand, partnering with builders, architects and end users across the commercial build sector to design, install and deliver turn-key building product solutions predominantly into the education, office, recreational facilities, conference venue and stadium markets.

To support their commitment to maintaining their ongoing market leading position and 'go to' brand reputation, our client is looking secure a customer focussed, highly competent and industry leading installations expert into the newly created position of Installation Manager, working within the Project Delivery function of the business.   This critical role is responsible for leadership of all commercial aspects in regard to installation, building robust internal and external processes and governance, complex people management due to differing workforce structures, installation administration, training and competency development, and customer relationship development.

If selected, your overall objective will be to develop and implement an industry leading installation business model that ensures the overriding objectives of the Project Delivery function are met. With safety and compliance being key considerations, you will be responsible for developing the strategy and implementing the plan to ensure its national success.

It is imperative that you can develop solid, collaborative working relationships by providing expertise, service excellence, strong training and support. Your ability to work concurrently across multiple projects, with varied deadlines in a pressurized environment is essential.

If successful in securing this role, you will ensure the business model/process developed becomes best practice and, through step change, introduce a specialist trade to the building process to improve construction efficiency and provide a first class experience at the installation stage.

This role is highly critical to the continued success of the business, as such you must be competent and confident to add value and expertise to the already highly effective leadership team.

To be considered for this role you should be operationally minded, have highly developed and well-practised project management/installation experience.

Previous successful experience working in a complex, high pressured and deadline driven environment is a pre-requisite. Your demonstrable ability to manage and lead others both directly and indirectly is essential.

To be considered for this career enhancing opportunity you must possess the following experience and abilities:-

  • Tertiary qualifications preferred in engineering, or building and construction related;
  • Trade qualifications, ideally carpentry / and hands on commercial construction experience;
  • Proven strategic and business management skills;
  • Project management experience;
  • A good track record in managing tradespeople and sub-contractors;
  • Experience with continuous improvement initiatives;
  • Previous experience in training and supporting trades;
  • Safety certification;
  • Proven active networking and influencing skills.
