The Company
3 Month Contract Term
This project will be based in Templestowe/Doncaster with a well-established Australian builder who is seeking a Site Manager to join their team. This is a great opportunity to join a division of a well-respected organisation which has been operating for over 25 years as a fully integrated, multi-faceted organisation with an impeccable record in design, project development, manufacturing, construction logistics and sales.
The Role
Reporting to the Building Manager, you will be primarily responsible for but not limited to:
+ Manage and coordinate all contractors and suppliers in order to maximise performance in reducing cycle times and construction costs, while also ensuring that the quality of dwelling's continually improves and that the standard meets or exceeds client expectations.
+ Control all maintenance of completed stages to ensure timely completion of contracted works. The aim of this role is to ensure industry best practice in client service is achieved.
+ Assist with managing, scheduling, budgeting and coordinating the construction of dwelling from start through to completion and hand over.
+ Assist the OH&S Representative in the implementation and ongoing compliance of the required Occupational Health and Safety standards and in conjunction with company's policy and OH&S plan.
+ Manage the construction program is such a manner as to ensure a safe working environment at all times, as much as is reasonably possible, that meets the OHS&E standards of the company's legislative and environmental procedures and standards
Your Profile
To be successful in this position the candidate will have the following skills & competencies:
+ High School Certificate, or relevant TAFE course or other trade qualifications, or tertiary qualifications in construction /engineering acceptable to the General Manager.
+ Minimum 2 - 3 years' experience in the building industry with exposure to relevant domestic project construction and any other experience appropriate to the responsibilities outlined above.
+ High level of professionalism, customer service and communication skills
+ Proactive problem solving techniques and able to multi-task
+ Ability to work unsupervised
+ Ability to motivate and influence the other team members to achieve outcomes.
