Due to recent expansion of the team, we are now seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to lead the contractual arrangements of our utility scale projects in Australia.

Working within our EPC and Project delivery team, areas of focus will include:  capital purchases, lease arrangements, tender and contract services (construction, O&M).

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • control and lead the formation, development, negotiation, execution and administration of all contractual arrangements
  • contract performance reporting
  • tender and contract preparation
  • building great relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
  • working in an environment where we are embedded with internal and external stakeholders
  • Working with the Procurement Leader, Construction Manager, Project Manager and EPC Director, you will also have the opportunity to ensure that the opportunities and risks inherent in the performance of the service and contract undertaken are identified, whilst ensuring appropriate strategies, resources and contractual arrangements are in place to maximise the opportunity whilst mitigating risks
  • maintain a professional standard of contract administration throughout all stages of the Project Life Cycle, utilising your experience across different types of projects, including Lump Sum, Schedule of Rates, Alliance, Target out Turn, Design & Construct contracts, procurement contracts, variations control and approval, land lease options and agreements and etc

 

Skills Required

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree required. Engineering, quantity surveying, construction law or other relevant discipline preferred. Further qualifications are desirable but not essential.
  • Experience of working within a similar development or contract administration role in the clean energy sector.
  • Very familiar with Australian contracts especially legal aspects.
  • very high communication, interpersonal and commercial acumen skills.
  • comprehension of contract/construction law and statutory and legal obligations for engineering design and construction and service operations in Australia.
  • demonstrate extensive experience in contract management practices, including claims management, reporting, dispute resolution and a deep understanding of construction contracts and framework agreements.
  • Knowledge of the energy sector.
  • Ability to use and navigate around various computer programs, including the Microsoft suite and contract management software.

Australian Permanent Resident or Citizen is a must.

Must have an existing right to live and work in the Australia.

A full time role is preferred (40 hours per week).

Pay will be dependent on experience.
